Description

Our natural walnut leaf hydrolate for detergents originates from the plant with the botanical name Juglans regia. On international markets, the distillate is designated as Walnut Leaf natural hydrolate for detergents. Botany assigns the plant to the Juglandaceae family. The leaves provide the starting material for extraction. Large and odd-pinnate, the leaf mass combines several lateral leaflets together with one terminal leaflet. Pinene, germacrene, caryophyllene and limonene are described as the leading volatile constituents in the leaf part of the species, which is why they outline the woody direction of the scent. Water and steam distillation separates the volatile fraction of the leaves and keeps the aromatic profile close to the raw material. The aroma stays at a mild level and combines a tart, woody and herbal side. Cultivation takes place naturally under Bulgarian conditions, whereby the raw material enters extraction without additives foreign to it and without artificial impurities. The color starts from colorless and ends at slightly greenish. The hydrolate remains a clear and homogeneous liquid. Moreover, neither preservatives nor colorants enter the distillate. More precisely, natural cultivation stands behind the pure composition, while the choice of the leaf part gives the liquid its light greenish tone in its final form. Steam extraction determines the strength and type of the scent, while the leaf raw material contributes its herbal base. The mild scent and the light tone go together in the character of the finished product, since each of them is due to the same plant part. The walnut leaf distillate ends up as a clear natural liquid with a mild, tart-woody and herbal direction.
